M.S.Ambrogio started its activity in the beginning of the fifties when Aurelio Sangalli, the founder and present President took over his father’s small workshop in Lecco, converting its activity into spring and metallic components manufacturing.
The following years showed a nationwide quick growth both of the production and sales activity forcing to continuous enlargements and acquisitions of various productive branches in the Lecco area, one of which was located in S.Ambrogio district, birthplace of the historical company name.
During the sixties the production went through a radical change transformation, placing side by side to the traditional wire springs the manufacturing of strip elastic components of various materials, later equipped with noble metal contacts to satisfy the automotive market, which already well introduced in, as well as electric, electronic and household appliances.

It is during these years that a cooperation was set up between Mr. Sangalli and Mr. Bihler, founder of the namesake Company producer of innovative high technological shearing off - bending machines, that brought to a consolidated partnership allowing M.S.Ambrogio to propose itself on the market with constant state of the art technological-productive solutions.
At the beginning of the seventies the Company workforce reached over 100 employees, pushing M.S.Ambrogio to broaden itself to a new and more modern productive facility in accordance with the Company’s development plans.
Therefore the construction and progressive moving to the present manufacturing and managerial premises of Cisano Bergamasco, completed in 1991.
The growth on the European market has been supported by the French and Spanish sales branches and warehouses.
In 1991 M.S.Ambrogio took over Springfix GmbH, a German company of about 200 employees, specialized in the production of metallic and metallic-plastic components for automotive industry.

At the beginning of the nineties Mario Sangalli, present Managing Director, joined the M.S.Ambrogio Group, which in the following years confirmed its growing trend and its leadership on the European market, opening onto American and Asian markets too.
In 1999 M.S.Ambrogio Do Brasil Ltda was founded in order to follow M.S.Ambrogio’s Customers strategies in the overseas markets.
In 2001 Clamar Precision S.p.A. is taken over, which is specialized in the production of components and assemblies for the electric sector and that in 2005 was moved to the new present location in Chignolo D’Isola.
In 2002 Aldeghi S.r.l., dedicated to the manufacturing of equipments and small series, special products and prototypes, is taken over.
In 2005 Mollifico Fede S.r.l. joined the Group, focusing its production in wire springs, allowing M.S.Ambrogio to confirm its own competitiveness in such range of products too.
In order to consolidate its own competitiveness and to support Customers’s “Operations” in the “low cost” markets, in 2006 was finally set up Springfix-Hungary Kft logistics-productive platform.
